Big Sky is The Biggest Ski Biking in America

Big Sky is The Biggest Ski Biking in America

Big Sky Mountain Resort, less than an hour from the airport and 45 minutes away from Bozeman, Montana is one of the most jaw dropping resorts in the country. With stunning views of Lone Peak and vast open skies, Big Sky Mountain Resort has 5,850 acres of skiable terrain. Known as home to “The Biggest Skiing in America” this resort can leave you finding new nooks and crannies on the mountain season after season.

Big Sky offers a one of a kind mountain escape with its close proximity to some of the most untouched natural beauty in the American west. Within a close drive to the resort you can find geysers, hot springs, Yellowstone National Park and the rushing rivers of the Gallatin National Forest. We recommend booking The Lodge at Big Sky for an affordable ski-in ski-out experience on the mountain or Montage Big Sky for a more glamorous resort experience.

Riding a SNO-GO ski bike at Big Sky is a favorite place to ride of SNO-GO’s own employees due to its expansive terrain, open faces and big bowls. “There are limitless options for fresh powder runs and new terrain” says Co-founder Obed Marrder. One of the best ways to enjoy ski biking at Big Sky is through a SNO-GO Private Experience.

Available at the Madison Base lodge you can book a half day SNO-GO Private Experience for up to 5 people priced at $540. This private experience includes a lesson and a half day SNO-GO rental. If you are looking to take a SNO-GO ski bike out on your own for the day without a local guide, a SNO-GO rental price for a half day is $61 and a full day rental is $82. Make sure to bring your own helmet and snowboard boots if you have them, but if not they are included in the SNO-GO rental. Big Sky recommends all riders to be 5’2”, 100 lbs and at least 14 years old.

When the SNO-GO instructors at Big Sky were getting trained on ski biking they were stoked on how exhilarating the experience was. One of the instructors mentioned, “it was way less intimidating than I thought” and “it’s a good way to get anyone on the mountain”. The guides at Big Sky Mountain Resort can’t see anyone having a bad time on a SNO-GO ski bike.

Here’s a look at their first impressions after just one day on the bikes:

Be sure to look into the different options for SNO-GO experiences at our Ride Center partner resorts like Big Sky. We are confident you will enjoy every moment of your trip and the unique experience of exploring the resort on a SNO-GO.
